Why Does My Heat Sealer “Give Up”After Just a Few Dozen Seals?
If your machine stops mid-job, one of two things is happening:
Reason 1 — Thermal Protection Triggered (Designed Behavior) Quality machines include a thermal cutoff that shuts down the unit when the internal temperature exceeds a safe threshold, then auto-restores after cooling. This is a safety feature, not a defect.
Reason 2 — Transformer Burnout (The Real Problem in Cheap Machines) Aluminum and copper-clad aluminum transformers generate far more heat per cycle than pure copper due to higher electrical resistance. Under continuous operation, the insulation layer on the windings melts — causing either permanent failure or dangerously frequent shutdowns.
Continuous Duty Comparison:

YGPACK’s Solution: Pure copper transformer + dual-stage thermal protection circuit + thickened heat-dissipating chassis. Tested at 8+ hours of continuous production — ideal for food packaging lines and high-volume e-commerce fulfillment.
